Whether it's the renewal of spring, the adventure of summer, the colours of autumn, or the sparkle of winter, Resorts of Ontario bring the seasons to life ! The Resorts of Ontario are broadly grouped into four designations, according to accommodations, facilities and services.
Great Escapes Guide Resort Hotels:     Resort hotels often have a contemporary or corporate look, and the atmosphere is defined by the unique activities offered within the hotel facilities and / or the immediate surrounding area. These resorts are typically larger, offering more sophisiticated accommodations ranging from condo to well appointed hotel room. Ontario's larger golf resorts generally fall into this designation.

Resort Lodges:     Resort lodges are characterized by their personal flair, style, tradition and attractive settings. Usually smaller than resort hotels, lodges are often family owned & operated, creating a more casual atmosphere and offering personalized service. Well suited for families and couples alike, accommodations range from modern, full-service cottages to well appointed hotel rooms. Meal plans and a range of on-site activites round out the offerings at resort lodges.

Cottage Resorts     Cottage resorts offer more traditional experiences and are regularly recognized for their intimate and picturesque settings. Accommodations range from private waterfront cottages to multi/attached units and are often family owned and operated. Cottage resorts are largely self-catering, offering open-ended activity programs and services that allow guests more freedom to pursue unique interests on their own schedule.
Country Inns:     Country inns are known for their unique settings, historical buildings and ambiance. Country inns are smaller, offering a more intimate atmosphere and are often couples or adult-oriented. Services and facilities regularly include spa facilities, fine dining, event / experience weekends and distinctive architecture, furnishings & appointments.
